Office Updates Relating to COVID-19

We want to reach out personally regarding the current situation with the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19. Please know that we are monitoring the situation closely. All, or nearly all, orthodontic offices in California are currently not open for routine orthodontic appointments, per direction from Governor Newsom. We will, of course, take care of orthodontic emergencies during this temporary office closure.

At this time, all appointments scheduled in our office through May 26 2020 are postponed. This postponement may be extended into June, and possibly beyond June, depending on guidance from our Governor and health authorities.

Dr. Joiner wants to virtually continue monitoring the treatment progress of our active orthodontic patients during this time!

Emails from Dr. Joiner were sent to our active patients on April 3 and 4, requesting that smartphone intraoral photographs be taken and emailed to him, and providing instruction on how to take adequate photographs.

Dr. Joiner is reviewing treatment progress seen in these photos and providing feedback to the sender. If you are an active patient wearing braces or aligners but did not receive these instructional emails, please contact Dr. Joiner at mark@joinerortho.com.

It is our strong desire that this mandated office closure interrupt treatment progress as little as possible! You have placed your trust in us to oversee the orthodontic care of you or your family member, and we take that job seriously.

But at the same time, our greatest priority is to maintain the health and safety of our patients and staff.

Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time! We look forward to seeing you soon,

Mark Joiner and Team
